The “Most Powerful Person In America” During ‘SNL’ Monologue – Dakota Johnson for Taylor Swift

No one is immune to Taylor Swift‘s charms and her magnificent success. While the pop sensation has had an extraordinary year for 2023, her name and music continue to reverberate through every nook and corner of the world. The singer has secured heights of popularity and success that would perhaps go down in history as unprecedented.

Dakota Johnson was recalling the last time she hosted the show during its 40th Anniversary Special in 2015. A photo from the event showed VIPs like Sarah Palin, George Lucas, and Steven Spielberg sitting in the audience. Donald Trump was also a popular face amongst the audience. Pointing to him, Dakota jokingly remarked, “And look who’s sitting right behind me.”

As the camera zoomed in on Taylor Swift seated in front of her, Dakota said, “Crazy to be standing so close to someone who would become the most powerful person in America,” she said, drawing a wave of laughter and cheers from the audience.

The actress was also joined on stage by Justin Timberlake, who joked, “I remember those days, Dakota.” To this, Dakota responded, “Justin, what are you doing up here? Are you lost?” Justin added more humor to the situation as he replied with an “I heard my name. I thought that was my cue.”
