Beyoncé’s hit features “108 beats per minute: the perfect rhythm for manual cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).”

Other songs that also have the right beats for CPR are Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” and Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York” and “Sparks Fly,” “Poker Face” and Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance.” s, “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars, “Rhythm Nation” by Janet Jackson, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston, etc.

CPR is performed by placing the palm of one hand on the unconscious person’s chest and the other hand on top of the first, and begin to push hard and fast at 100 to 120 compressions per minute.
