In rare case, Alabama mother gives birth to twins… on two different days

A woman in the United States has given birth to two children on two different days, in a rare pregnancy. Kelsey Hatcher, 32, gave birth to her first child last Tuesday and her second child on Wednesday in Alabama.

The 32-year-old’s pregnancy is rare as the woman had two uteruses (in scientific language uterus didelphys), a rare anomaly that affects only 0.3% of women.

The chance of a woman becoming pregnant in both uteruses (decavitary pregnancy) was even rarer, one in a million.
