A 4-month-old baby has been found alive in a fallen tree after a powerful tornado destroyed the home and carried away the crib with the boy inside. The event took place in Tennessee, United States, while the mother of the child says that God has protected her son. Sydney Moore was at home with her two children and her husband when the tornado came near their mobile home. When the roof was destroyed, the cradle where the little boy was standing was taken away by the tornado’s fury, while his father could not keep him close to him.
Part of the tornado came down on the house and lifted up the crib with my son inside. The cradle was the first object that rose far away,” said Sydney Moore, BBC reports.
The child’s father jumped to grab the cradle, but he too was lifted into the air by the tornado’s fury. Meanwhile, the mother approached the other 1-year-old son and hugged him.
“Something made me jump and cover the boy with my body. The moment I jumped towards him, the walls of the house collapsed. In those moments, it was as if I was being crushed, I couldn’t even breathe,” the woman recalls.
After the tornado passed, the woman and her husband started searching for their 4-month-old baby. It was raining outside. Miraculously, they saw the cradle next to a fallen tree. Their son was also there
“I thought my son was dead. Before we arrived at the crib, I was sure that we would not find the boy there… but he was there, thank God,” said the mother of two children.
The woman and her two children escaped with minor injuries, while the husband suffered serious injuries, with a fractured arm and shoulder.
