Local farmer Carl Wise, 67, has taken patriotism to new heights—or rather, new bales. Wise recently decorated several hay bales on his property to resemble the American flag, a bold display meant to inspire the community and remind today’s youth of the values of hard work and determination.
“These colors don’t run, and neither do I,” Wise declared, standing nearby. “I hope this display teaches kids that America was built on sweat, not screens.”
While many locals have praised Wise’s creativity, some have expressed concerns about the durability of his masterpiece, especially after last year’s incident when a rainstorm turned his “Freedom Corn Maze” into a muddy swamp.
