After a year full of lows, it’s about time Al Roker and Deborah Roberts had a year full of highs.
Over the weekend, the couple celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. Both shared heartfelt tributes to each other on Instagram along with throwback photos of the two from over the years.
“28 years ago, promised to be there for better, for worse, thick and thin. Good times and bad. But the greatest gift is the family she has given me. Happy Anniversary, sweetheart,” Roker, 69, captioned his post.Last year, when the Today weatherman underwent a series of life-threatening medical emergencies, Roberts, 62, was always by her husband’s side, proving she would always be there for Roker, even in sickness and in health.
Roker included a carousel of photos in his anniversary post, showing several photos of the couple on their wedding day. He also included one of their children when they were younger and a photo of the couple when they met former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama.
