Carol Burnett, the groundbreaking comedy legend, turned 91 back in April!
After decades of making us laugh, Burnett continues to shine, and NBC celebrated her remarkable career last year with a special tribute, Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter and Love.
Many of Hollywood’s biggest names attended the event to pay tribute to Burnett, singing her praises on the red carpet.

Among the attendees was Julie Andrews, the legendary Sound of Music star and close friend of Burnett’s: “She brings out in the best in me and I think I bring out the worst in her, I don’t know why,” Andrews joked on the red carpet, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “It’s the opposite of what you would imagine.”
Andrews recalled meeting Burnett at a Chinese restaurant many years ago: “When we met, no one else got a word in edgewise. We bonded like that and it has never changed,” Burnett said of their “never-ending friendship.”“I would sneak out through the fence to go to the farmer’s market and we played practical jokes on each other,” Cher said. “It was just easy and fun and that’s all we wanted to do.”
